Incrementum Advisory Group has been re-engaged by Cricket Australia to partner with all eight Big Bash League clubs to develop tailored consumer growth strategies. The focus will be aimed at maximising fan engagement, financial performance and long-term consumer sustainability across the competition.
Incrementum first partnered with Cricket Australia (CA) during BBL|12, providing strategic consumer support to both the League and Clubs, while assisting CA in identifying the optimal consumer framework to support future growth initiatives.
The success of that work led to a direct partnership with the Perth Scorchers throughout BBL|13 and BBL|14 to accelerate the club’s consumer growth and strengthen key consumer and revenue metrics.
In BBL|15, CA again engaged Incrementum to support all Big Bash League clubs in maximising consumer revenue opportunities across the competition.
Senior Manager, Consumer & Commercial Growth - Big Bash Leagues, Elliot Opie says the trust and proven success of Incrementum is what led to the continued partnership;
“This latest project represents a significant expansion of our work with Incrementum, we have them working collaboratively with each club to design bespoke long-term growth strategies targeting their unique market opportunities and challenges.
“By embedding with each Club, alongside the Big Bash Consumer Growth team, they provide real-time support for the staff on the ground, as well as being able to access their expansive industry knowledge and experience for strategic direction.
"We've seen tangible, growth across many of the consumer metrics and we’re looking forward to seeing how Clubs can amplify Incrementum’s support.”
Incrementum’s three-year growth strategy methodology focuses on four core strategic pillars:
Gaining clarity and alignment on the club’s current situation.
Defining what consumer success looks like.
Identifying the consumer opportunities to exploit and the challenges to resolve.
Building the operational backbone required in year one to maximise the likelihood of achieving long-term consumer objectives.
Managing Director Cain Liddle says the engagement reflects the continued evolution and ambition of the Big Bash League;
“Cricket Australia and the Big Bash clubs have demonstrated a relentless commitment to long-term consumer growth and innovation across the competition.
“Our role is to work closely with each club to develop practical, tailored strategies that not only identify future growth opportunities, but also establish the operational foundations required to deliver sustainable outcomes over the next three years.
“The Big Bash League remains one of Australia’s most exciting sporting and entertainment properties, and it’s a great privilege to continue supporting clubs in building deeper member engagement, stronger commercial performance and long-term consumer growth.”
